CODE FC | The Work
Statement
F.C. aka ~ #CodeFC started his journey into the art world alongside train tracks and down backstreets with a spray can. Since graduating with a degree in Public Art and Design from the Chelsea College of Art and Design, #CodeFC has expanded his repertoire with mediums such as video, animation and large-scale stencil art.
One of the main influences fuelling #CodeFC is travel. Many of his works are a form of reportage from several extended stays in Asia, notably Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Serving as a travel diary, his works use the outdoor space as a form of sketchbook, essentially mixing the vitality and history of local cultures and his own interpretations of society. The results of these are often continued onto canvas with the use of acrylic, oil and spray.
While making the transition from walls to canvas #CodeFC has also seamlessly integrated VJ appearances at major festivals, providing cutting edge visuals to events such as Secret Garden, GateCrasher and the Big Chill.
