A special event held by Patch London curators Annabel Cary & Katie Heller who gave a workshop here last quarter. On Thursday 5th September from 6.30 – 9pm at the Lloyds Club, London there will be a panel discussion focusing on Uncovering the Emerging Art Market with gallery representatives from Man & Eve, Payne Shurvell and Artlyst.
Art at Lloyd’s Club is pleased to announce its latest exhibition, New British 2013, kindly sponsored by Aesop, which will showcase new and emerging artists practicing in the UK. Currently, the disparity between the blue-chip galleries and the emerging market is greatly pronounced. Through New British 2013, the curators’ goal is to offer an opportunity for artists and galleries at the younger end of the market to exhibit with a collaborative approach.
Organised by Patch London – a curatorial agency led by Katie Heller and Annabel Cary – New British 2013 will transform the four-storey Georgian town house of The Lloyds Club into an exhibition of the highest calibre. With the participation of an elite group of young galleries – Man&Eve, Nettie Horn, PayneShurvell, Ceri Hand, Hannah Barry and Sumarria Lunn – who will each curate a room, alongside a selection of independently practising artists, Patch London aims to create a dynamic exchange between gallery, curator and artist.
