Roberto Grosso | The Work

Statement

Roberto Grosso's work takes an intimate view of social, political and cultural issues, deconstructing the music he listens to everyday and, using shapes he recreates it. Having been a professional guitarist and toured all over Italy with his band Gene.Razionale, Grosso's work explores the context and his sense of the songs which inspires the artworks.

Roberto Grosso uses a variety of materials and processes in each piece, experimenting with perspex, metal and photographic prints.  The pieces often consists of multiple works, showing a compilation of different melodies deconstructed and materialized into a series of artworks. 

His aim is to push the boundaries of communication - he wants the viewer to feel the music through his artistic expression; for the vision to transcend musical genre and instead make each work accessible to everyone.
