SANA KHAN | THE WORK

STATEMENT

Sana Khan is a Contemporary Fine Art Photographer whose work compasses rudimentary human emotions and experiences through the stages of life.

She finds that her art is a tool of communicating her narratives of life, its apprehensions and splendor. In other words it is a representation of the world as she sees it.

All her sets are created with meticulous effort to reproduce her interpretations and notions in a more tangible form. Days, even months have been spent relentlessly searching morgues and butcher shops for cadavers for some of her early series. She prefers developing a controlled environment for her work, for this reason in her more recent series she has used painted backdrops and constructed sculptures using ghungroos.
